Little Doll - Tiffany Loraine

The puppeteer with string and pine

Knows nothing of this heart of mine

The way it throbs in sticky glue

For a woman that I barely knew

The dancing, darling marionette

Knows the puppet master placed a bet

And although that bet was set in lies

The little doll still compromised

“I want to be a real girl.”

With the picket fence and ring

so the little doll had soon forgotten

She was bound by hope and string

And when flames caught on, the little pawn

Watched her maker pack and leave

and the little wooden, worn-out doll

Burned in a land of make-believe

Welcome to my little corner of the world! My name is Tiffany. I am a passionate writer and animal lover based in Southern California. As an avid nature writer, I draw inspiration from the beauty of the natural world and the poetry of greats like Robert Frost, Mary Oliver, William B. Yeats, and Emily Dickinson, to name a few. With a BA in English and creative writing, I channel my love for literature into my writing, using nature as my muse. I foster a deep appreciation for both animals and the environment in my professional, personal, and creative endeavors.

As the founder and president of Cleo’s Kittens Inc., I devote my free time to rescuing and rehabilitating cats in need. I share my life with my friends, two playful dogs, and eleven affectionate cats, all of whom inspire my work in their own special way.
