Aquainted with the night - robert frost

I have been one acquainted with the night.

I have walked out in rain—and back in rain.

I have outwalked the furthest city light.

I have looked down the saddest city lane.

I have passed by the watchman on his beat

And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.

I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet

When far away an interrupted cry

Came over houses from another street,

But not to call me back or say good-bye;

And further still at an unearthly height,

One luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.

I have been one acquainted with the night.

Welcome to my little corner of the world! My name is Tiffany. I am a passionate writer and animal lover based in Southern California. As an avid nature writer, I draw inspiration from the beauty of the natural world and the poetry of greats like Robert Frost, Mary Oliver, William B. Yeats, and Emily Dickinson, to name a few. With a liberal studies degree and nearly completed BA in Creative Writing, I channel my love for literature into my writing, using nature as my muse. I foster a deep appreciation for both animals and the environment in my professional, personal, and creative endeavors.

As the founder and president of Cleo’s Kittens Inc., I devote my free time to rescuing and rehabilitating cats in need. I share my life with my husband, two playful dogs, and eleven affectionate cats, all of whom inspire my work in their own special way.
